Tomato Pappu

Ingredients --
yellow lentil (kandi pappu)-- 1/2 cup
tomatoes --4
onion -1(chop)
green chillies - 3 (chop)
salt to taste
turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon
seasoning - 2 tea spoons black gram Dal ,2 red chillies ,1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds ,1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds,4 garlic pods(mashed),asefotida --pinch,1 tea spoon ghee , 1 tea spoon oil, curry leaves (optional)
METHOD -Wash dal and keep in pressure cooker , add 2 cups of water and keep the lid , cook on low flame till 3 whistles and turn off fire and let it cool.in a pan heat ghee and oil add seasoning
and add onion and Green chillies, fry on low flame for 2 minutes add chopped tomatoes,and cook on low flame till soft now add cooked dal ,turmeric powder and salt and stir well cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
