Pulihora

Ingredients:

rice -2 cups

tamarind paste -4 teaspoons

green chillies - 4 (cut into strips )

ginger - small piece(cut into small pieces)

mustard seeds - 2 teaspoon (powder)

salt to taste

4 pinches of turmeric powder

oil 4 tablespoons

peanuts -2 spoons

Bengal gram Dal - 2 teaspoons(soak for 1/2 hour)

black gram Dal -2 teaspoons

mustard seeds -1/2 teaspoon

red chillies -2

pinch of asefotida

curry leaves

METHOD:

cook rice and keep aside.in pan eat oil ,add Bengal gram dal fry for 1 minute ,add peanuts,black gram Dal,mustard seeds,fry for 1 minute ,add red chilly pieces,asefotida,curry leaves ,stir and add green chillies,ginger fry for 1 minute add tamarind paste, turmeric powder,salt and fry for 2 minutes on low flame .turn off fire ,to this paste add cooked rice and mustard powder and mix well.
