Ingredients--
bengal gram dal(senagapappu)-- 1 cup
onions --- 2 cut into small pieces
salt to taste, pinch of turmaric powder
oil 2 table spoons
1 tea spoon chilly powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
seasoning--1 red chilly , 1 teaspoon cumin seeds,curry leaves
METHOD --soak dal for 4 hours ,drain water and keep aside .Heat oil and add seasonig ,fry for 2 minutes ,add onion and fry till transperant,add ginger garlic paste fry for 1 minnute, add dal , salt ,turmaric powder,chilly powder, garam masala powder and for 5 minute in a low flame, add 2 cups of water cook till dry.
