Cabbage Popu

1/4 kilo cabbage

2 tablespoons tamarind paste

1 tablespoon oil

2-3 green chillies (cut into small pieces)

small piece of ginger(cut into small pieces)

salt to taste

pinch of turmeric powder

for seasoning---

2 red chillies

2 teaspoon black gram dal

2 teaspoons bengalgram dal

1 /2 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

curry leaves

1 teaspoon mustard seeds (powder)optional

Method---- clean and cut cabbage into small pieces boil cabbage in water for 2 minutes

and let it cool and squeeze the water and keep aside.in a pan heat oil add seasoning fry for 2 minutes,add green chillies ,ginger fry for 2 minutes , add tamarind paste and stir well to avoid burning add salt,turmeric powder and finally cabbage fry for 2 minutes turn of fire.add mustard powder and mix well.
