Idli

Ingredients


black gram dal (minappappu) - 1 cup


boiled rice rawa - 2 cups


METHOD


soak rawa and dal separately for 6-7 hours ,


wash rawa for 4 times


wash dal


grind dal to a fine paste , add 1 table spoon cooked rice while grinding to make smooth idlis.


squeeze water from rawa and mix with dal paste . mix well and keep the batter aside overnight


add salt to the batter before making idlis . wash idli plates and pour spoon full of batter when idli plates are still wet.in idli cooker pour 2 cups of water keep idli stand in that and cover lid. cook for 10 minutes on high flame.turn off fire . leave it for 5 minutes.and take off idlis and serve with hot ghee and chutney.
