Pesarapappu Cabbage

Ingredients :

cabbage cut into pieces -- 2 cups

green gram Dal (pesarapappu)-- 1/2 cup

onion -- 1(cut into pieces

green chilly -- 2 (cut into pieces)

salt to taste

pinch of turmeric powder

For Seasoning -- 2 tablespoons oil,1 red chilly , 1 teaspoon black gram Dal,1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds ,4 pods of garlic (mashed) , curry leaves

Method : wash Dal and cabbage, mix both in a cooking pan and add onion ,green chillies ,turmeric powder,1 cup of water ,keep on stove and cook on slow flame ,the Dal should not be too soft ,you can sprinkle some water if you need , when water evaporates add salt and mix well ,add seasoning
